2007: 125.000 tons of carbon dioxide reduced!

After a successful year, we would like to thank all our customers for the confidence shown to us! With your help we were able to produce an additional market of approximately 50.000.000 litres of biofuel only in this year. Therefore, an annual reduction of 125.000 tons of carbon dioxide is achieved only with our conversions. As the pioneer of vegetable oil technology, next to our present business areas HGV, car and agricultural technology, we are also now worldwide taking charge of the construction machinery business with its own department. Especially for the area above 600 hp, a specific conversion set class was developed. As with the smaller classes, one of our customers successfully runs his motorbike with vegetable oil since this year.

NEWS: ELSBETT medium truck and tractor/construction machinery converter

After a lot of requests especially from UK market we decided to downsize our well converter (300-550BHP) and offer the same technology for the most popular medium trucks (i.e. Mercedes Atego/Vario), tractors and construction machinery(-300BHP). The advantage of this kind of converter is, that the supply of the different fuels to the engine is mainly not controlled anymore by magnetic valves. This fact makes our converter available even for the newest versions of Bosch Common Rail technology you can find in the newest MAN-TGL-trucks. You find more information here.

All new converters are available now in our online shop.

About us - Introduction

Elsbett - The pioneers of a new technology

Over 25 years ago, Elsbett laid the foundation for a whole new market when we presented the revolutionary Elsbett motor to the world. We showed that the technology for driving modern engines on pure vegetable oils was no longer a pipe dream, but an achievable goal, and in doing so, we started a global discussion that is growing in importance every day.

Today our conversion technology lets most modern Diesel engines run on straight vegetable oil, and what was once a niche market is now enjoying rapid and sustained growth, both nationally and internationally. As pioneer of SVO technology, we continue to guide and support that growth with our products, services and information.

The use of vegetable oils for engine fuels may seem insignificant today, but such oils may become in the course of time as important as petroleum and the coal tar products of the present time.
